Our in-house cruise ship security officers, certified trainers and ISPS/ISM lead auditors provide a wide range of professional services and accredited training packages – all delivered onboard or at one of our UK training facilities. Alternatively our in-house recruitment and placement agency can find reliable, well trained security staff for you.

With over 10 years experience in cruise ship security, we frequently exceeded over 360 man days onboard cruise liners each year.

Security Personnel Recruitment

Cruise ship security personnel are an integral part of the team yet professional standards vary significantly. We commonly see little or no pre-deployment training, an absence of ongoing training and varying English language proficiency.

In partnership with Interprotect Marine (IPM) in India, we recruit, select and train only the highest calibre candidates. In addition to the 6 Standards of Training, Certification and Watchkeeping (STCW) courses, our security crew all attend PVI Risk Management 10 day Cruise Ship Security Course.

All are required to pass an English test before deployment and receive customer service training inline with client company standards, policies and procedures.

Security Personnel Training

A collaborative approach. PVI Risk Management also works with cruise lines and technical managers to create the most comprehensive security training package available to the cruise industry for existing staff. Whether it’s active assailant response, checkpoint escalation or conflict management, our training content is adaptable to reflect the specific needs of the brand, the vessel, and your guests.

Penetration Testing & 'Mystery Shopper'

PVI Risk Management Cruise Services offers these port-based assessments for cruise lines and port operators. In addition to testing security procedures and culture on board a cruise vessel, we independently review the security practices at ports and provide extensive actionable reports to our clients.

CVSSA TRAINING

PVI Risk Management is certified by the U.S. Maritime Administration (MARAD) to deliver Cruise Vessel Safety and Security Act (CVSSA) training programs. Our team comprises eight full time in-house trainers and two ISM lead auditors within our HQ.

Courses can be delivered onboard anywhere in the world, or remotely via video conferencing.
